i recorded a cd onto my pc and real one has saved all the files as .RMJ files and my cd burning software doesnt recognise that extension. is there anyway of changing the extension and not losing quality?

i have looked in real one menus for change format but it wont let me select it in the drop down box

Any one have any ideas at all?

.rmj are Real Media Jukebox files. They are not supported by anything except Real's software.

However, you can convert .rmj to MP3 as follows:

1. Install dbPowerAMP Music Converter from www.dbpoweramp.com (not spyware, 100% free)

2. Install the Real codec from the codec download page at www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central.htm

3. Rename the .rmj file as .rm (important bit - .rmj files aren't recognised by dBpowerAMP but they are equivalent to .rm)

4. Use dBpowerAMP to do the conversion

Be aware however that you'll lose quality - .rm is lossy, as is .mp3, so the more you convert, the more you'll lose unless you use a lossless format, such as .wav

EDIT: after reading your post again, I see you want to burn it to CD, so I recommend converting it to .wav rather than MP3.
