Hi
I have been looking at some hotels in Sheffield, nightly prices.
I've checked out Travel lodge, Ibis, Premier inn.
These are all pretty central & are around 50 quid a night, just for some one i know to put their head down & have a shower, nothing too posh.
Does anyone know of any, central, or even less central, that are cheaper, maybe less well known & smaller.

when do you need the accommodation for?
there are plenty of bed-and breakfasts and hotels in the nether edge area, but the ibis's rates, at <£50 a night is a fair old deal, and about the best you'll find for a city centre hotel.
after the Xmas break, if it's not urgent, give the tourist info office a call, (they're on Norfolk Row) they can provide you with contact details for any number of premises, at whatever rate you like, from £30 or so a night and up.
hope you get sorted out with somewhere.
It will be for the weekend after New Year most likely!
mm, Norfolk Row, thats just off Fargate yeh, i wondered where it moved to.I guess they have a website i'll check out!
I guess prices drop after peak times & i guess now is one.
I guess the bigger ones are central! the ones you say at Nether Edge are just guest houses, those big Edwardian houses!
Cheers for info :)

rather than try hotels direct - have a look at late rooms.com, I find it to be a lot cheaper than booking with the hotels themselves.
For the weekend after the new year, the new travelodge ( sheffield central ) are charging £26 per night if you book at least 7 days in advance.

Etap hotel is opening in January I think, they are £32 per night. Its near the Arena.
