Hi all,

I'm planning a big fundraiser in aid of Meningitis Trust which will involve me running in a very famous race. I don't want to give away too much at the moment as I will be posting an official thread on here after crimbo, subject to negotiations with Geoff.

Anyway, cut to a long story short, I'm looking for businesses etc to donate items which I can auction off on the forum to help me reach my intended target of £1,400. If you own a business and want to know more then you are more than welcome to pm me, or if you know someone who owns a company that could do with some possitive publicity on the forum then please point them in my direction.

I would be grateful for any help.

I think you'd be better contacting businesses directly.
We're doing a charity event in June for Jessops Hospital and thats what we'll be doing as well as a charity bike ride :)

I'll have a fish around regarding the Minibus.
Dick whose running should know the date!! (Unless he wants to win it again by running the week before or after)
What is needed is the number of people interested.

The support would be fantastic on top of the hundreds of thousands of spectators that are due on the course :)

The run is on the 22nd April.

The London Marathon is on Sunday 22 April starting at 10.30.
If enough supporters wish to go down to London to support 'Dick Dastardly' whilst he pounds the twenty six miles. A coach, Minibus, National Travel or train, could be booked for the early rise, day, return trip.

If a support group can be formed to go down to the London Marathon to support 'Dick Distasty' (or what ever he is called) I will keep you informed.
A long distance runner needs a cheer ever six/seven miles to give a sense of purpose.
Anyone reading this who wants to go to the, ' London Marathon ' as the support crew for ' Dick '. Please add your name to this thread or better still, tell me where someone else as started one, so that I can add my own.
