Its DS#1's birthday next wednesday and I happened across an affordable (to my budget) MP4 player. Now what? I want to put some video on it for when he opens his gift but dont have a clue where to find it.
Help :help:
Er, get some video from somewhere on the net? Search for 'MP4 video downloads' or similar in google?
Sorry not more helpful but I don't have a portable video player :) Only an iPod nano.

did it come with a piece of software for taking extracts from dvds?
I think itunes does - and it links to plenty of free video download sites - video podcasts etc
dont just search for "free video downloads" in google tho - or you will find yourself in a "niff cu de sac" so to speak
Hi Fox...
What sort of thing were you thinking? If you've got a mobile with video functionality, then it may save video clips natively as mp4. Perhaps you could do a welcome message? Alternatively, you could convert some existing video to mp4 using some of these (http://www.tucows.com/Windows/AudioVideo/Video/VideoConversion/) tools...

www.divx.com
Start there, get some videos and then download the Converter to convert your own files.
