View Full Version : Is your child psychic?
wondered if any of you had simular experiences. 4yrs ago my eldest told me i would have a baby boy, soon. found out wks later that i was 4 months pregnant with a BOY, during that pregnancy she also said i would have 2 more the last being a girl. i now have another boy aged 2 and a girl 5 months. (she is the last i get sterilised next month) coincidence ??? strange though. she also told her teacher , with my 1st son that i was giving birth the day after at 3pm... guess what 3pm the day after he arrived into the world. v. v. bizzare. do you belive?
littlestarshine 19-12-2006, 09:05 when i told my eldest son (5) i was pregnant i told him that the baby wudnt b coming til after xmas.. he said no it will come 2 days b4,, i had my first scan which put my due date at new years eve, but he still maintains that it will come on the 23rd, plus he told me it was a girl when i was about 14 weeks and it is a girl!!

Jabberwocky 20-12-2006, 19:35 When my daughter was two, she pointed to a picture of my son on the wall and said `Thats Richard`.
Richard had died in 2001 and I hadnt mentioned him to my daughter, I was waiting until she got older. No one in my current life talks about Richard because they never met him.
yummyyumyum 20-12-2006, 20:01 about 2 years ago me, hubby and 2 1/2 yr old daughter were driving past the house that hubbys grandmother used to own.
as we drove past my daughter pionted to the house stated that "thats nannans house"... very spooky as my daughter had never met her great nana who haf past away about 5 years prior to her being born, never mind knew where nana lived when she was alive
alirosdan 20-12-2006, 21:30 My friend's little girl lost a tooth about a year ago, and went to sleep looking forward to the tooth fairy leaving her £2 (hers must be a wealthy tooth fairy).
During the night, she raced up to my friend's bedroom and woke her up saying that there was a lady in her room. She suddenly calmed down and said, "Oh it's ok, I've just remembered it must be the tooth fairy", and went back to bed.
The tooth fairy is now an almost nightly visitor, and the little girl isn't frightened of her but she does get cross that others can't see her. She doesn't describe her as most 8 year olds would describe the tooth fairy (ie a bit like Tinkerbell), but as an old lady with brown curly hair, wearing what I presume is an old fashioned type apron. She doesn't talk, but usually stands near the window, looking out, or occasionally sits on the end of her bed. It's also a bit of a strange imaginary friend. I still don't know what to make of it!
babychickens 20-12-2006, 22:46 my daughter is only psychic in that even from a different room she can sense when the first forkfull of a meal is mere centimetres from my lips.
i'm enjoying reading these, keep them coming. no ones kids come up with lotto numbers yet, mine neither. my 2yr old freaked us out other day stood in room pointing to kitchen, asking who's that? we were all in room at time, think we have someone from anotherworld in our house. my other son offten wakes in night and talks, giggles to himself:huh:
I much prefer these tales of predicting births to my own psychic skills :(
I have a habit of predicting deaths
as a child I was ill at my grandmother's house, and believed I'd been 'babysat' by a neighbour who wore strangely old fashioned clothing. It was many years later I heard from other family members that it was most likely the schoolteacher who owned the house previously - and was long since dead
I also used to have conversations with my mother by answering her thoughts when I was very small
I'm a firm believer that we have lost skills our ancient ancestors nurtured and developed - there's another dimension to this world we 'choose' not to see

Funny, my daughter has this ability to :D

so does my mum, she gets a strong aroma of flowers the day before a family member dies, yet has no sence of smell:huh

i agree, i myself have had strange experiences. a medium once told me that my daughter would be psychic, and if she said anything strange( like she has) it would be messages from spirits:o shes also found things i've lost in the street, though she hasn't been with me at the time:huh:
littlestarshine 23-12-2006, 07:44 will come 2 days b4,, i had my first scan which put my due date at new years eve, but he still maintains that it will come on the 23rd
oh today the day lets see if me son is rite :D
fox20thc 23-12-2006, 08:11 oh today the day lets see if me son is rite :D
Now that would be good.
Good Luck
Must admit I'm generally quite sceptical of these things, but there's certainly been some responses in here which have made me think!
I lost my Mum last December. My Dad has kept her ashes until a year later, when we buried them. I have a daughter who is 22 months old, and therefore was 10 months old when my Mum died.
On the way up to my Dad's on the day we were to bury my Mum's ashes my daughter suddenly looked up and said "gate open". The only gate she would normally notice being open is the safety gate in the house, so I didn't think much of it. However, a few minutes later she pointed in the same direction she had been looking and said "nanan back". Very odd - she wouldn't really have been old enough to remember my Mum, and hadn't seen her other nan for almost 2 weeks.
oh today the day lets see if me son is rite :D
so is he then? im hoping that you've not let us know as you've been busy with baby, let us know, good luck anyway:thumbsup:

have to resurect this thread as my eldest has done it again this time, it wasnt nice.
the fri before mothers day she blurted out that her great nan was going to have a stroke in a few days... totally out of the blue and said she didnt know why "it just popped into my head and i had to say it"
the following tue i got a call saying my nan, her great nan was in hospital after suffering 3 strokes!?!
sadly my nan past away the following week.
and theres me thinking she'd outgrown it. strangely (or not) my mum said she could smell flowers when i told her, 2 days before my nan had the stroke. (see my responce to strix if you dont get the last bit re flowers)
*Peaches* 14-04-2008, 11:47 My eldest has a gift, he knows when things are going to happen its quite bizarre. He told me both the sex of my 2nd born and this one, and he knew that both his aunts were pregnant before anyone else did
Hi snooze, most kids have it, some are just more vocal, many kids learn not to talk about it as they get older. Then there are some of us where it never goes away...lol
I use to freak my family out with it, still do sometimes..lol and I am a 48 soon to be a nana again!! - though I have to say this time I have made sure I don't 'look' to see what it is... daughter wants a surprise!
