Those who know me know that I have the constitution of an ox as well as superior antibodies.....until yesterday.

I've spent the last day totally out of circulation due to sickness and the other unmentionable.

I've pinned it down to 3 groups of people, one in London who I will never see again so am loathed to hold them responsible as I have no recourse. Another one who are too well meaning so loathed to confront them and finally a group of work mates. I plan to do some investigations tomorrow (no I didn't eat at the Polonium) and take notes of my findings.

First though I'm ruling out an internet virus.......anyone been ill on here???

Oh dear.....

I've had (touch wood) a surprisingly illness free year for 2006, and I'm afraid I've been in sickeningly rude health for the last few months. :)

Seriously - get well soon!

First though I'm ruling out an internet virus.......anyone been ill on here???Having done the investigations and established the cause, what do you propose to do, sue them, then they sue the person they got it from etc, forever. Of course anyone who you give it to can sue you. It's going to be expensive for contagious diseases.

No no no, I won't be issuing legal proceedings my plan is far more subtle than that. I want to know how this could have invaded my superior antibodies....I will be collecting DNA samples surreptitiously.

I then plan to sell this strain of said virus to the highest bidder as it's obviously very virulent and could floor an ox instantly. Shhhhhhh

sickness & diarrhea

So that's why you called it "the other unmentionable", - you can't spell it :D

If it's any comfort neither can I :hihi:

We have something from the chemist called 'stoppers', reputed to put the lid on an erupting volcano, which usually works for me.

Get well soon ;)

Possibly you have come into close physical contact with someone who has smoked a cigarette in the previous 5 years?

Will you be selling the DNA samples to the police database and the virus to The Ministry of Defence for use in chemical warfare?:suspect:

A friend of mine whose cousin is a doctor, told me that the only way to combat this dreadful scourge was to drink plenty of hot water and to take up smoking .[or increase your consumption if you're already a smoker ].

Apparently there is something in the nicotine that helps kill the bug. A neighbour of this friend went down with it, bought some Senior Service untipped and was up and about in no time.

Coincidently my cousins friend is a doctor but I've never met either the friend or the doctor so I don't know either of their opinions on this matter.

OK, newsflash. I'm now on my third day of no eating (not been sick for 2 days though) my throat tongue feels like Ghandi's flip flop and my throat feels like vesuvius...to top it off I think I've been fighting Mike Tyson in my sleep so I guess I'm not out of the woods yet.
