We have a completely black kitten with green eyes, the last of the litter, that we'd like to find a home for. We got her mum when she was nearly fully-grown, from a woman who told us that she'd already been "done", hence unexpected kittens-there will be no more where this one came from!
Please note that potential homes will be vetted as we won't be letting her go to just anyone.
She's 16 weeks old, friendly and has grown up in a house with a dog, a six-year-old and another cat (other than her mother, who can be seen). She was due to be going to a friend of ours-both her brother and sister have found homes with friends-but unfortunately the cat he already has was run over and had to have a leg amputated, as a result, he's now a house cat and my friend doesn't feel able to have two house cats and, as it would be quite difficult to manage having one permanantly house-bound with the other free to roam, she's in need of a home.
The most important thing is that she has a good home to go to, where she'll be cared for and loved, so if anybody's interested, PM me.
Cheers.

Good luck finding a home for her snapdog...

It's such a shame about what happened to the other cat, I'm sure she'll find a lovely new home in no time though.

Best wishes

Hi

I'm really interested in the kitten - has she had all her jabs? I'm hoping to get a cat to keep as an indoor cat, and the shelter doesn't seem to have many at the moment, so I'm ideally looking for a kitten. I'm not looking to get the cat until after xmas, as I'm going home for a few days for xmas day etc, and it's not fair to put it in a cattery or leave it so soon after getting it.

There are a few reasons I would like an indoor cat - I live in Crookes with the dangers of cars, and students. Also, a little worried about fleas!

I live in a 3 bedroomed 2 reception terraced house, which should be big enough for her to roam in! Also I'll be getting her done etc!

I would like a friendly cat that likes cuddles a lot. She sounds gorgeous though!

Please PM me or get in touch soon!

Ellie

you do realise that indoor cats still get fleas? just to point it out that you will still have to treat the animal for them:thumbsup:

Tell me about it. We had to treat our kittens for fleas two weeks after we got them and they had already been done before we collected them. Little blighters.

That's fine, although surely the chance of them getting them is reduced? It's not my primary reason for keeping them indoors anyway, but thanks for the warning. I was thinking of treating them with that monthly stuff? we've got some for our dog when i lived at home, and it seems to do the job. Could be worse, when i lived abroad, our dog there got ticks...and inevitably a couple found their way onto us humans. and they're MUCH worse than fleas. I don't know which I despise more, ticks or leeches...!

It would be reduced but you can still carry them in on your clothing, from other animals or anything brought in from outside. Also if the cat already has them then they infect the whole house! So you may need to use a couple of treatments.
