Anybody seen the advert currently running that shows starlings, thousands of them, flying, making wonderful patterns in the sky. I know you can see this at dusk on the flats on the banks of the River Seven, but does anybody know locally where I can see something similar. Flocks fly over The Bolehills early mornings but nothing like the ad.

I know that at one time you could see birds flocking around the Court buildings - this was a few years ago and I'm not sure whether they still strut their stuff now.

Also, I think it's seasonal....but I'm no bird watcher!

I used to see starlings flocking like the ones you are talking about (but in slightly smaller flocks) in Hillsboro' park at dusk. Starlings don't seem as numerous as they once did though and I've not seen them flocking for some time.
