View Full Version : What WOULD we like to see on TV this Christmas?
As a counter measure to the thread about the 3 people we don't want to see over Christmas, I thought it would be nice to know what we really like to see. I'll start the ball rolling by saying I would like to see a Pantomime, a ballet or two (classical, not modern), and nice family films.
We get one channel in the US that just has a roaring fireplace going all day Christmas day along with soft music , I usually keep that channel on most of the day,

A repeat of all the Queen's speeches.
A 4hr Christmas 'Crossroads' special.
And a documentary, 'At home with the Blairs'.
There won't be anything on much better, me thinks.

I know it's not Christmassy, but I want the terrestrial TV premiere of Star Wars episode 3: Revenge of the Sith.. Meh, it's already done the rounds several times over on Sky.

Tommy Cooper,Two Ronnies,no more crap christmas top of the pops, a musical,Ray Mears does Christmas, where he makes a bird within a bird within a bird with a sparrow and a starling and a magpie, whilst he fashions a festive flute from some firewood he had stored and then goes on to play a medley of carols, whilst the lovely woodland animals look on wistfully and say "ahhh", like in Bambi.
