Anyone heard of a company called CS Loans?
They keep phoning me saying i have a loan with them and they sound very unproffesional on the phone. Very abrubt and quite rude.
They must have phoned about 6 times today already.
Anyone know of them?
Thanks

From what you've said, at best they're legit but incompetent and will get in touch with you in the end if they really need to (as you've never heard of them the onus on them, not you, to do the chasing), at worst you're repeatedly falling for a premium phone line/rate scam. Don't call them back would be my advice, and never EVER give out any details about yourself or your finances unless you know who you're talking to.

Be careful, stay happy. :)

In the meantime, have a search round t'internet to see if you can find out if they really exist? Google the name, try to look them, up on www.Yell.com etc... :)

Even if they do exist, don't assume a caler is who they say they are. nyone could ring you and say they're from your bank, and you might be fooled into handing over your details to someopne dodgy. Check everything like this out 100% :)

Are you actually looking for a loan? If not, then I'd leave well alone. It sounds like a scam. Alternatively, do you have any outstanding credit? For example - I got my sofas from DFS but I owe HFC Bank the money - so could it be someone like that? Only you know what loans you've got. To me it sounds like they're trying to sell you something and I would just blow a whistle really loud down the phone. (Err ... once you've asked them politely not to ring you again of course ...)

I did it in the bank on high street but ive scanned my pc just to make sure, both Adaware and ewido come up clean. Im starting to think i should be asking the bank about its privacy policy. That MUST be who gave out my details .
If it is ill be taking my rather large bank ballance (i mean overdraft:hihi: ) to someone else.

People say that, but it isn't true. Banks do not and cannot share your details, without your consent. And in any case, if they're selling you a loan themselves (which they will make money on) why would they then encourage a competitor to call you who might offer a better deal?

Did you fill in any enquiry forms online or request any quotes? This may be where they've got your details from. It also could just be a coincidence.

The original enquiry was made online and the wife has just reminded me she applied for loan with another company (lower interest rates) before we tried our bank. I dont remember which company it was but it certainly seems we have been a little foolish giving out our details so freely.
Ill be a little more careful in future:blush:

I think it was them that used to phone me 4 or 5 times a day asking to speak with a Mr.Michael Riviera.. I've never heard of him! Kept telling them they have the wrong number and to delete it off their system, but still got millions of calls, for months!
