Hello everyone... I'm coming to Sheffield in about a week's time and I would like to know if there are any good blues, jazz or funk club-bars there. If there are any with live music, even better. Thanks in advance :)

The one eleven club has live jazz music most nights I think. It's not the cheapest of places in Sheffield to go but worth every penny. Food and cocktails are also really good...guarantee you'll have a good time there!

I found this site (through a thread on SF) try it - particulary if you are in Sheffield 15-17 October.

The Lescar does a live Jazz night every Wednesday. It can be very good and it is onnly £2 entry! So, you may as well give it a try.

Thanks guys... I was a little anxious if there was a Jazz scene in Sheffield, but I guess there is something going on ... I'm mostly into fusion/jazz-rock -funk, but I guess it will be more hard to find that kind of music, although I saw that there are some gigs in the one-eleven club. Anyway, we can always start a fusion movement ourselves... :)

to be honest the jazz scene in Sheffield along with a lot of other scenes, is very poor but let me know if you find any hidden gems!
