There was a nasty accident just up the road from the Flouch Roundabout, by the Dog and Partridge Inn, on Saturday around 6pm, which resulted in the road being closed.

I was lucky enough to have missed it by less than five minutes.

Does anyone have any more details?

Don't know anything about this accident, but it's a miracle there wasn't one a week ago on the approach to that roundabout from the Huddersfield direction. I was doing 60 and a Reliant Regal (of Del Boy fame) suddenly appeared in my rear view mirror. How he suddenly got there I couldn't understand. Next thing he's passing me at about 70 with his off side rear wheel bouncing along the grass verge on the right side of the road. I would have laid odds that it was completely out of the driver's control had he needed to avoid anything or brake hard.

He didn't appear to slow down much for the roundabout either. I didn't see any brakelights come on!:loopy:

Maybe it was a ghost car?
