Never seen 24 but looking for something good to watch while off at xmas.

Box set is just over £100 so any comments would be appreciated before purchasing (not that i'm being tight or anything!)

It's very good, we're on series 4 at the moment on DVD.

I would recommend that you check out ebay though. You can get series 1 - 4 for about £40, series 5 i'm not sure about as it's only just out.

Apart from series 1 (which I bought on impulse in HMV) we've bought the rest for no more than £15 each on ebay.

Ive got seasons 1, 2 and 3 at home and I can definately recommend them. Brilliant viewing

Watching the complete Day by boxset is far better than watching the advert fractured epsiodes on Sky, but once a new season starts we can't help ourselves.

Whatever you do, hurry up and get 'em watched cos Day 6 starts in Jan on Sky One.

Enjoy....(...losing sleep, as you stay up for xxhrs cos you just can't turn the DVD off until you 've seen what happens next).

I got series 1-3 for £50 on Ebay recently - lent them to my friend who's never seen it and now she's hooked. Well worth seeing.

24 fans will probably like Prison Break too - series 1 is being repeated on Channel 5 over Christmas, ready for series 2 to start in January.

I found watching them on TV a little annoying as they were always advert infested and spread out over weeks - where all i wanted to do was watch the lot back to back

getting the 1-4 box set as a prezzie i thought i would give them another go, i was glad i did - really enjoyed it, and ended up spending an unhealthy amount of time watching those DVD's over 3 weeks

Buy it! Buy it! 24 is amazing, we marathon watched series 1&2 and then 3&4 we stayed up late alot, "just one more", the something good happens near the end so you have to watch another, prepare to be hooked and not get to bed early. Wish we could still marathon watch them :( we now have to have it stretched out over weeks with adverts :( - we could wait til they come out on boxset...but nah!
