Just been out with a friend to meadowhell, on the way we passed a pub, It's either called, the Farefield, the Owl or the Muff Inn, it's changed it's name that often I can't remeber what it is called anymore. It's the one just off Penistone road over the little bridge.
Any way I said to him that the old Cortina parked outside must be a landmark by now as i seem to remember it being there for ever.
He said that it was a customers that died in the pub one night and no one has ever been to claim it for him? does any one know if this is true or not as my friend has a habit of making tales up that although sound palusible are usually just a wee bit off the mark.

Dont know whether the story is true, but your right, the cortina is certainly something of a fixture down there.I'd never actually thought of it until you mentioned it though!

Is it on private land or can we see it being scraped for not having tax and insurance.

STOP
They can't scrap it, i use it as a navigational point for my customers when giving directions. .....then you'll see a rusty white Cortina..... etc.

If it's not sorn declared the DVLA will whip it away anyway I think - I've had the police and a DVLA van looking over our fence looking for the astra we scrapped two weeks before

I don't think the Police are too bothered about it and the as for the DVLA, well, I'm pretty sure it's not on their radar, back to the story though, any one know it's story?
My wife seems to think she's seen people sleeping in it :gag:

It's on private land, belonging to the pub in question.

Nothing illegal at all:).
