hi
my house is on eastern crescent and is one of the houses having the walls and drive way redone by the council
I recieved a letter from the council/builders company yesterday saying "there had been an incident on burgess st and due to the investigation, all building works have been stopped until the matter has been resolved"
does anyone know what this is about? etc
much appreciate your help.

I know
I'm a journalism student and I can't get over the fact that this took place nearly two weeks ago and I've heard hardly anything about it

thanks for that sam
my mistake for titling this thread BURGESS st, its actually BERNERS rd that i was thinking off, SORRY!
i think thats a terrible shame what has happened, i only recently moved into sheffield after studying here and i always thought it was a lovely safe city to live in. I dont mind the work to my fence not being done now till after christmas, its more the fact that no place is safe anymore!!
i live at eastern crescent off east bank road and was looking forward to all the work being done cos the front of the houses are looking really nice now.
were just going to have to wait a bit longer i suppose.
