I am on a waiting list to be assessed (you might have seen my previous post) for bathroom adaptations due to my disability. As it will take 4 months I have decided to pay and get a shower put in over my bath as it will make my life easier. I live in S6. Please recommend a reliable tradesman who wont charge the earth to supply and fit (or just fit) an electric shower over the bath.

A shower has been there previously but has been removed and the wall repaired, but the pipework (and presumably electrics) are through the wall right next to the bath in the airing cupboard so its not much of a job.

I will want it doing after Christmas.

Get a shower off the internet- use Froogle to find the cheapest supplier of the model you want. Then get a fitter. If its an electric shower running off the cold supply the most powerful (cause you want a decent stream of water) is the Mira Sport max. I paid 180 inc VAT + delivery. SHould cost bout £200 to fit max
