Can anyone suggest any Birthday Presents for a 9 year old girl?

Not really very girly but she is quite arty

get her a nice art set then, with crayons, paints, a big pad of paper and fun stuff like stencils and glitters!

Have a look in Home Bargains, they've got LOADS of crafty-stuff, really cheap. What about a box full of arty-craft-stuff, keep her entertained for HOURS!?

I second the Arty stuff idea. She's not really that little at 9yoa though so go for proper pencils/paints etc rather than fluffy pom poms and sequins and loly sticks. Home Bargains also do blank canvass' to let her loose on!
Or what about a book? - the new Clarice Bean book is rather good (can't remember the author's name but I'm sure Waterstones have it prominantly displayed).
