Having watched this prog for the last 3 nights I have to say I thought it was a superb prog.
The actors were top notch and the dialogue coul'd quite easily happen in real life,I thought it very on topic what with all the muslim terrorism in the world right now.
On the other hand it makes you fear for the future of this world in the face of such evil and fanatical people.

I can kind of see why you liked it roy. :)
I was watching it with the sound off and subtitles on - tonight was the first episode I had seen.
The credits were the first thing I noticed : BBC, in conjunction with (i.e funded with editorial control by) Fox and TNT (aka Murdoch and Turner).
Neither of these two media magnates makes any secret of their inherent biases (which are not made on an ideological basis mind you, purely a financial one).
Thing is, without the spiffy music, and with the dialogue actually written down on screen, it was revealed as predictable and safe drivel, and after me muttering "this is cack" a few times but not moving, my sensible girlfriend switched the tv off. Now I'm thanking her.
I've videoed all 3 episodes with a view to watching them at some point in the future, probably in 2009 the way things are at the mo'. What are other people's opinions, is it worth watching?

Having watched this I thought it was very real like, made me think whats around the corner.
How on earth can we hope to defeat these people who are so dedicated to their cause,I think we need to ask why they do what they do and try to find ways to resolve the issues which drive them to do what they do.
The film itself was well made with good visual effects and beleivable charachters.
We need more thought provoking films like this instead of the rubbish that is put out these days.

Made good viewing for the first two nights then brave America came to the rescue of the world blah blah blah. A more realistic outcome would have been for them to have succeeded and escaped to goad the west further.
The programme implied that nearly all muslims were terrorists which is patently untrue - as it stands its the west which invades countries to force our doctrine of people. One nations terrorists are another nation's freedom fighters - its just a matter of your view point. Had the UK been invaded by an enemy do you not think we'd have fought back in a similar fashion?
As a piece of fiction (and thats what it was) it was ok as a piece of propaganda (on the eve of 9/11) it was probably more successful and its real aim.

Well fiction has a nasty habbit of kicking you in the mouth,I think this prog was a cut above most t v.
I agree with you internetowl as far as the outcome went and up to a point about the americans also, why is it they always come accross a big head and know it alls, even when it was financed by the american corporations.
Having said all that I hope their will be more to come in the near future.
