Perhaps they had a visit from 1 Dept of work & pensions, 2 immigration, 3 Health & safety at work, dont see any other reason to close & throw money away.

They didn't appear to be brits the last time I drove past, and how exactly do you know they pay their taxes?

Do the Police use this car wash?

I must admit i was impressed with the jobs they did, and if the police use them, that must be an endorsement of the quality of work.

One has to ask the question "is this a good use of police time?" half a dozen police cars waiting for a car wash, when the place has been closed down.

WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF I'D HAVE WANTED THE POLICE? OR BEEN A VICTIM OF CRIME?

I would have rang 999, and the operator would have said "I'm sorry sir, all the police have taken their cars to the car wash"

NOT GOOD USE OF POLICE RESOURSES

And if you'd actually read the post, instead of going off half-cocked and making a fool of yourself, you'd have seen where simonr said:
they were not waiting for a wash and go!

Police stations have their own jetwashes, or buckets and sponges in some cases.

Is it a good use of tax payers money for the police to take their cars to be washed at these establishments ? and in such large groups?

1, you havn't aswered whether you thought the police cars were there for police reasons or to be washed.

2, believe it or not the police do wash their cars.... i know! its crazy isnt it! i mean WHO do the police think they are wanting to drive around in clean cars! it's not as if they have a public image to maintain is it!! it's not as if people like YOU would complain at seeing dirty cars. i can hear you now.. "bloody hell i saw a filthy police car today, i mean theyre meant to be here for us and present an image or authority and protection. how can they do that when they cant even clean their cars!"

3, if you had actually READ the previous post, it states that the police have jet washers that they clean the vehicles with.

i strongly suggest you check your facts and read the questions before responding because you've made youself look stupid twice on this thread now.

So, after 22 replies and a great deal of rubbish, still no answer to my question!!

I think its safe to assume that the Police cars spotted were not having their cars washed, as they have their own carwashes in the station yards! (fact)

Would anyone care to comment further on the original question asked?? :|

Has anyone stopped to think, maybe the police mistook the place for a Petrol Staition. After all, I do believe that the place was a Petrol Station, before it became a car wash

Perhaps what happened, one police car drove in. Realised these was no Petrol being sold, radioed to his colleagues (as his car ran out of petrol) and thats why there were 6 police cars there. They had all brought some petrol in a plastic container. ???

They they would need statements, witnesses, administrators, solicitors, cps etc to decide whether or not to have the full wash and wax or just the ordinary soap and water job. Some crimes even need a victim too.

Crikey only 8 cars waiting for a Car Wash, god help anyone who needed the Police.

Is this not a clear example of Police Time and resources not being put to its best use?
