I would be interested to know how to propogate a stone from an avocado pear. Is it possible to grow these in this country - even as a plant that may not fruit?

It will grow with ease, quite a light position, don't drown it but don't let it dry out. It will go up and up and up but will NEVER fruit!!! Nice plants as long as your not expecting anything more.

Neeeeeeeeeeek is right about Avo's ...but if you want to see something grow really fast plant some Kiwi seeds, you can almost see them moving, but they grow too fast for their own good, and after reaching a couple of feet high they tend to topple over.
