ridiculous exaggeration. It's not a tornado it's just a strong wind.

What a ridiculous overstatement! It wasn't even windy! In fact, who's ever heard of North West London?

Oh, no. Wait a second. No - there was a tornado. The British Tornado and Storm Research Organization (http://www.torro.org.uk/forecast/) certainly seem to think so. So, those two-bit hacks at the beeb are reporting something accurately for once?

<Tongue in cheek there. The beeb are a fantastic organization.>

That's not what it looks like on Sky News to be honest. Several hundred people potentially homeless on the 10 streets affected wouldn't agree with you either I shouldn't think.:(

I'm sure that statement will go down very well with the several families whose homes are going to have to be completely demolished just before christmas.

Having seen some of the people interviewed about this "tornado" you would have thought it had hit Royston Vasey.

My favourite report is http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/6218562.stm

"It literally was The Wizard of Oz," a shopkeeper, identified only as Amanda, said.

"It was just sucking things up into it. There were tiles. There were bits of wood. There were trees."

Like The Wizard of Oz? Really? A tad exaggerating there, you see The Wizard of Oz is a film - fictional at that - and I seriously doubt there were cows and houses flying into the sky, or a mad woman on a bike who turns into a witch! Also, unless the shopkeeper found that her shop had landed on someone, and she now sports a pair of ruby red shoes, whilst a load of midgets sing songs around her...well...you get the drift!
