How does he get the money if it is for HER daughter? As for the money issues, if she sets up a basic accounts at the Post Office, she can have her daughter's benefits paid into that account and her husband will never see any of it. Ditto for carer's allowance. More significantly, if the guy's that bad, she could complain to social workers that his presence is disrupting her daughter's life. They'd investigate at the very least, and there's a fair chance they'd either house you elsewhere, or forcibly remove him.
