Help folks

Need a little sensible advice with regards to the pubs on the Manor please.

These are the ones i believe are still open Manor Castle, Travellers Rest, Windsor and Merry Monk? So what are they like. I'd prefer responses from people that have actually been in them rather than generalisations of the Manor etc.

I thought the Windsor was more Wybourn? Anyway, in my opinion. they're all truly dreadful, the Merrie Monk in particular. I must say though, it has been about a year since I was in any of them.

To be honest, even though it had, ahem, a bit, ahem, of a 'rough' reputation, I used to enjoy the Steel Inn on Harborough Avenue round there, even if it was keg Wards years ago when I went in last. It's been shut for years now, so I believe .......

Windsor is Defo on the Wybourn and the locals might give you a bit of a look but they are sound with you if your not causing a fuss. I would say the Manor castle is the pick of the bunch really. I used to go in on Sunday evenings and never saw any trouble!

Thanks folks, is the merry monk near the windsor? I do tend to keep my head down in the pubs, just need to tick them off the list.

went in the windsor and the manor castle. To be honest i thought the windsor might be a bit worse but it was ok. the manor castle was pretty good. Saving the merry monk for another day but not worried now. 420 odd pubs done now not many left.

Are you doing a personal 'Pub on every Corner' thing then? Or just getting as drunk as possible? If it's the latter I'll join in!

In my mere 32 years on the planet, I dread, nay, would wish to behold the number of pubs I've had a beer in!

initially we're trying to do every pub in Sheffield. not doing so bad so far, can't be more than 80 left to do.
