Me and the other half have found a nice house to buy in Hackenthorpe, we are first time buyers but don't know sheffield that well. Currently live in S6 as we moved from manchester when our jobs changed but renting at the moment. We haven't commited to anything and really only just started looking, what's the area like, schools etc??

My other half doesn't drive and works in the city centre so we need to be on a tram route/bus route if possible from the outside Hackenthorpe looks quite nice lots of newish houses not far from Crystal Peakes and close to the M1 for me to get to work

Any advice would be appreciated

Ahh don't know that bit but we live close to Hackenthorpe,
the tram is really good better than using buses if you are
near to it:)

probably the new houses built on the site of the old orchard belonging to the old village school. If so, the tram is nearby, and it's one of the quieter parts of Hackenthorpe.

I lived off Brook Lane for 12 years, my parents still live there and love it. People are very friendly, good luck!!
