My friend is upset at recently paying approx £60 per month for the house gas costs in his rented property.

This cost is shared - not £60 each, but how does yours compare?

He's in a 4 bedroom mid terraced property.

Is that with the gas piped via next door's meter?:hihi:

Who are the suppliers?

I think I used to pay around £65 a month for a gas - cost us around £4/500 for the 6 month winter period in the gas. We were in a mid terrace (with passage), it was still freezing. We always owed the gas company on our gas account and was upped every year - started at £45 a month.

it depends on the usage though, we like a warm house and don't see why we should be cold so the heating comes on at regular intervals throughout the day. We also have pets and its not fair on them to be in a cold home.

We pay nearly 50 a month for gas alone, which i don't mind paying to be nice and toasty. 3 bed semi

Im in a 3 bedroom, its quite a large house so takes at least £20 a week on the meter in winter, but in the summer months £5 will last me a month.

npower I think. That's with the combined service discount, but that isn't much.
Of course there are only 2 of us, and we work 5 days a week, so at the moment the heating is on for 1:30 a day I think. We're generally busy at the weekend, so it doesn't get put on any more then either. And I didn't turn it back on until the end of October.

Thanks understood, suppose we're lucky with mild weather.
