I want to make sloe gin but haven't been able to find a source near Sheffield. Just wondering does anyone know of somewhere I can pick them?

Used to be a lot on the bus route from Killamarsh to Southall but don't you have to collect them in September if you are thinking of making sloe gin for Christmas. Not sure they survive on the trees til now.
(The rd on which the Yorkshire Terrier has it's depot.)
A good substitute are damsons.
