There is another thread on the The Ghost of Stocksbridge bypass. (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?threadid=1405) which you can check out too.

Stanage Lodge up at Redmires. I once walked up the drive to the lodge and i thought that i'd time travelled back about 80 years! Whilst I was looking at the lodge, a maid dressed in an old turn of the century uniform appeared at one of the windows! Wierd.

At that point i started to leg it back down the drive.

Those woods in front of the Lodge are seriously spooky too.

Is that the place at the start of the path up to Stanage Pole? I only ask cos one evening I was walking down there having been up to the pole and I got a strange sensation that I had to get out of there quickly. I don't know what it was and couldn't put my finger on it but it was an overwhelming urge to leg it. So I did! :o

Haunted pubs??
These usually coincide with a downturn in business.
Mine hosts then engage in a bit of well-publicized ghost hunting.
If that fails they organize a charity event.

Boardwalk and The Point is home of a ghost that pushes people about apparently. They're holding regular seances after hours at The Point to contact it!

...maybe a charity event'll be next, eh?

I was told recently that the workers involved in rebuilding the old kingswood ward on the hospital site had downed tools and evacuated the building after one of the builders saw a white lady appear through a brick wall.

Cant have been that spooky cause they soon returned to work.
