Just started renting a flat in Norton near Oakes Park. Unless I've missed something there aren't many small shops around there. Are there any newsagents / grocers etc nearby or will it have to be a trip to Meadowhead or Derbyshire Lane for me?

i lived in Oakes Park at Norton for a couple of years and so can tell you the nearest shop, a multi-purpose supermarket is on Constable Road. If you don't know the area go down Blackstock Road and Constable Road is a turning on the right, the shop is about 30 yards further on and can't be missed. Otherwise carry on down Blackstock and there is a small group of shops on the left, not been there for ages so can't say what you might find there.
