Can anyone give me information on the Hunters Bar school?
Whats it like?

Hi

I've heard that Hunters Bar School is a Becon School and one of the best schools in the UK.

I also want to send my son to that school when we move to Sheffield, but I was told that getting your child a place in that school is really difficult as it is so popular.

A friend of mine has only just got her son a place in Hunters Bar school but was told it was really lucky that she managed to secure a place for him.

I hope it wont be so difficult for me to get my son in when the time comes.

The latest Ofsted Report can be found here http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/reports/index.cfm?fuseaction=summary&id=106995&bar=no . This should give your friend a good idea of whats going on in the school.

Get your friend to phone the head teacher and make an appointment to visit the school.

huntersbar is a very good school and therefore very popular so there is lots of competition for places .....living in the catchment area helps but if this is not possible get your childs name down early. my child goes there and its very nice ..failing huntersbar ,clifford infants is an excellent school but this only has reception,y1 and y2
