Hi!!

I'm a first time buyer and finally found a property, surveyed, found a mortgage and a solicitor.
I just received the "Fixtures and contents" list and the seller has excluded the carpets from the sale.It was never pointed out to me that they r excluding the carpets in the selling price.

What shud i do now?
Has this happen to anyone else?

Please advise.
Thanx,
AA

hmmmm...not to sure on this one, not every advert says what is included within the sale. Do you know how much they want for them? and more importantly if they are taking them with them, the likely hood of all the carpets fitting in a new house is very slim!

Yes, they want £1000 for it.The carpet's only in the hall, and 2 bedrooms.

What do u think?

I would say just for a hall and 2 bedrooms you could maybe buy new carpets for less than £1000 to match your taste.

Why would anyone want anyone elses manky old carpets anyway. You can buy new for a lot less than that - I would say forget about them.
