I heard somewhere up Stannington, there's a P.O located inside a shop that's open past 5pm.

Anyone know if this is true and where it is, or of any other way of posting small parcels outside of normal working hours?

The one at Meadowhell in Sainsbury's used to be a godsend, and the closure of local PO's makes doing this in my lunch-45-minutes increasingly difficult.

The one in the city centre (Norfolk Row? Inside a GT News near the Town Hall) is open til 5:30 - I sometimes pop in after work if I need to send a parcel. Also, the one on West Street is open til 5:30.

If they're really small parcels, weigh them on your kitchen scales. You can get a booklet from the post office telling you how much different weights cost, then put stamps on and drop into a letter box.

I know the Co-op in Hillsborough opens while 6 & 8 some days but unsure if the post office in there stays open - it certainly used to but been awhile since I went there, so might be worth checking first
