Anyone else used Incredimail as a substitute to Outlook Express for there email needs?

I think it's fab with at the cool sounds and pics you can add to the emails.

Personalises em more!

It's free to those who are unaware... get it here (http://www.incredimail.com)!

I sampled it but it didn't really appeal to me.

I thought that at first... then I got used to all the new stuff and now I'd NEVER go back to outlook... unless they made it like incredimail!

I'd never install that on my pc, lots of talk around about it installing spyware.

E.g http://netscape.com.com/3302-2367_2-10127472.html?pn=1&fb=2

These days I try to research ANY program I install beforehand, been burnt by spyware in the past.

If you just want to personalize your emails, why don't you just use Outlook stationery? :?

Its all, just added overhead, I much prefer to recieve a mail in plain text than with some moving or singing background.

Same here... except I like to be able to click on links, etc...

Apparently, it's new users to the Internet who prefer to receive fancy emails in HTML because they look like web pages (which they're familiar with). "Experienced" users prefer the "no frills" text versions... anyone disagree? (I can't remember where I got that info - but it was from a huge Internet company...)

I see normal mundane text emails in my 'day' job! In my home life I like to be ble to create more 'personalised' mail and to recieve it too.

Just what I like!

the nice thing about emails that display in html is that they will download pics from the net if you tell em to, and it's so easy to start sneaking stuff onto your computer with HTML mail it's not true.

I use text only mail exclusively for precisely that reason - everytime you open HTML spam mail, your mail app goes off to the internet and downloads a specially named picture file - which tells the spammers that you have opend the message in your mail proggy and that your address is a 'good one'.
