What do you fancy and what sort of budget? May get you some replies. Stockers 28-11-2006, 11:05 AM Pizza Express, Ask, Nandos, Shahibs, Flying Pizza, Ban Thai are a few, there is a serious lack of quality restaurants in Sheffield City centre though. Its one thing that really lets Sheffield down. pinkdolphin3 28-11-2006, 11:41 AM i would recommend the pickwick at high green...buy one get one free every evening up to 9pm and the food and service is great tess667 28-11-2006, 11:43 AM We went to the Gypsy Queen near Crystal Peaks last night and enjoyed a very nice meal lisajohnson 28-11-2006, 12:09 PM i am looking for a place that is not to difficult to get to and does nice food. money is not a problem willing to pay for nice meal its for a special occasion lisajohnson 28-11-2006, 12:10 PM dont mind traveling out the area if i can get directions em2007 28-11-2006, 12:33 PM bottom red lion at grenoside! very nice food, and not too expensive, also doing christmas dinner menus through december. roth_mark 28-11-2006, 12:45 PM try damons nr crystal peaks bday people eat free, prove it with passport and they sing happy bday to you and get a free cake ! yummyyumyum 28-11-2006, 12:48 PM i would recommend phoenix inn at ?ridgeway? the food is lovely neeeeeeeeeek 28-11-2006, 01:17 PM Walnut club in Hathersage is excellent. I eat there quite often and have always found it very nice. Good value for money too cheers haddockman 29-11-2006, 01:11 PM IS there anywhere that does good quality meals which are not too expensive. Im looking for somewhere that isnt a foreign restaurant because my dad is really fussy!! Johnh 29-11-2006, 01:11 PM try damons nr crystal peaks bday people eat free, prove it with passport and they sing happy bday to you and get a free cake ! Thats precisely why I wouldn't go to Damon's! Try the White Rose at Handsworth, we were in there yesterday lunchtime ... 2 x Sirloin Steaks with chips and salad and 1 bottle of Blossom Hill Red Wine, £11.99 for the two of us. And its GOOD! AdamL 09-01-2007, 01:07 PM I'd go with ASK. nickity 10-01-2007, 04:43 PM east one is always good for ease, quantity, quick service and of course fun with chopsticks...o and tasty too. adyfife 11-01-2007, 09:58 PM IS there anywhere that does good quality meals which are not too expensive. Im looking for somewhere that isnt a foreign restaurant because my dad is really fussy!! the drawbridge in rotherham (left at the end of meadowbank rd) do a realy good carvery. 3 meats, and there happy to give you some of each if you like, and as much taters and veg as you can fit on your plate. £3.25 b4 5pm (extra £1 after) dont let the cheapness put you off, this is realy nice and you couldnt buy it for less in a supermarket, oh and if you do decide to go you dont go in the main doors, go down the steps to the right hand side of the pub and in that door whiz 12-01-2007, 12:55 AM My favourites are: Siam Inter on Abbeydale Rd for Thai; New India Garden on Chesterfield Rd for Indian. Bayleaf 14-01-2007, 04:03 PM Lahlous at Commonside, Walkley do a great line in French/English food, and they're very cosy. A livlier time can be had at Sheffield's best Italian - Cassanova on Crookes. mcgarry 17-01-2007, 12:51 AM Have you looked at the ivory? the-ivory.co.uk really good value for money and great food jenniferatra 17-01-2007, 10:57 PM Recently I stumbled across a lovely restaurant on West Street at the top near Glossop Road. This place is Italian and has a fab lunch deal, its a soup (usually soup of the day) and any pizza or pasta for £5. I have to recommend it, the atmosphere is great and the food is wonderful. It is open in the evenings too with a pasta dish priced at around £7.50. Yum Yum *Twinkle* 17-01-2007, 11:03 PM Is ASK any good?
