Does anyone know where I can get sailing lessons in Sheffield. I live in Loxley and I know the Viking Club sail at the Dam Flask but I can't see any mention of them doing lessons. The closer to Loxley the better. I want to get some basic sailing lessons and then possibly at a later date probably do the RYA certificates.

yeah, rother valley is by far the best place for it, i did it with college and loved it

bit of a late reply, but you can do your RYA Start Sailing Level 1 and 2 at Rother Valley. I did level 1 a couple of years ago over a weekend. You'll need to get some sailing hours in before you can do level 2 though.

You'll learn in a wayfarer with everyone else, then get a chance to sail a laser (at least I think it was, may have been a topper).

After that, check out the RYA's website, they'll be able to give you a complete list of all accredited centres.
