Does anyone know what happened to the model of Sheffield which used to be housed in a glass/perspex case in the Egg Box (Town Hall Extension)?

I remember looking at it many years ago as a child and wondered what had become of it since the demise of the Egg Box.

Isn't it in the reception area of the old town hall in a glasss case? I am sure it is.

Hmm, the one in the Old Town Hall is of the Old Town Hall I think. The one that was in the New Town Hall would be too big to get in the OTH lobby anyway. It must be in Howden House somewhere.

There must be a Howden House worker somewhere in the forum... where is it?

All I know is that the Art & Design department of Granville college made it back in the 80's. Then it was stored somewhere never to be seen again but poss seen in Howden House a couple of years ago:hihi:

I recall the story told by my Bro, who worked in Beaties for many years, regarding a unique scale model of the Supertram that got pinched....never did find out if it ever got found again. Can't imagine anyone would pinch a model of town though, so it has to be somewhere.

Yeah, it's not the sort of thing you can fit in your back pocket.

Unless you have a big bum.

some tenants slapped a compulsory purchase order on it and sold it to leeds city council.
just to let the sheffield council know what it feels like
