sheffild city council will hold a roadshow on Saturday. This year a new local Transport Plan will come out aiming to provide safe and reliable choices of transport that help the city's economy and job opportunities to grow. Actualy car accidents happened everyday and you can't get rid of traffic jam in the rush hour. How do you view this improved plan? I guess many people may have come across traffic problems, and you can go to the Town Hall 10am -3pm to give your advice to councillors

That will rule out public transport then... ;)
The councillors don't control the bus services these days so there's not much they can do. They might have a document called a local transport plan but in reality they do not plan transport. Buses, trains and trams are operated by private companies whose only concern is their shareholders.

Sorry but you asked, and I can't resist -
My veiw of the traffic in Sheffield is quite nice - on a clear day I can even see the Supertram as it crosses White Lane on its way to Halfway!!!!!!!!
Seriously Kathy053, I take all and any council initiatives with a massive pinch of salt. In my opinion they are amongst the most inefficient, incompetant spendthrift bunch of middle - englanders in the country.
They seem to show little interest in the problems of small businesses or their harrassed tenants; showing as they do an increasing desire to rub shoulders with big business for whom they can't do enough.
Won't be able to make the 'road show', but I hope that you can brief us on the outcome.
Sounds like the usual hype and gimmick do, that our dear councillors love to impress the proles with! You never know, they might surprise me and build an underground system to rival the London tube..! Yeh - right!!!
