who can we powerless house renters talk to if we have an issue with the service being provided by a lettings agent?

Lewis Wadsworth?

Overpriced dude... There are a couple of agencies that are quite reasonable, but can't remember the names. Seem to think one was up towards Crookes?

They appear to be one of Sheffields more professional agencies in my experience.

You've obviously not dealt with their Stocksbridge Office! The are very rude, and and will happily keep you waiting whilst they finish the cake they are eating. They know nothing about the houses they are selling, and I'd say at least half their brochures contain mistakes, eg, radiators in rooms that aren't actually there (a house for sale on Viola Bank, S36 in 2002), front facing windows that face backwards (a house for sale on Ash Lane, S36 in 2003), and even end of terraces that are actually semi-detached (a house on Ash Lane, S36 in 2004)!
If they put that much effort into selling a house for a client, then I'd say don't use them.

I am sure they would value this feed back, I will let them know.
