After a series of upgrades we've got 2 USB only PC's that don't have any parallel printer ports.

We also have 2 parallel HP printers (a laser and a multifunction ink jet) that I want to connect.

Now I have a hub, but its got only 1 port, and I really want a hub / adaptor with 2 parallel ports so theres no need to keep swapping wires. I don't mind using one of the PC's as a print server. but remember it only has USB.

Is there anything out there? Maybe wireless?

Do you want each printer on a separate computer? or both printers accessible from either computer?

Well ones a desktop and the other is a laptop, so I'm happy for them both to connect to the desktop. Everything is on a wireless network too, so sharing isnt a problem.

A wireless print server with dual parallel part inputs does exist but I think the cost doesn't make sense...you'd be better off buying new printers. A parallel port based inkjet must be 5+ years old by now?

You can buy Belkin parallel to USB adapters off eBay for £5 or so. That might be your best option...and then use printer sharing over your wireless to connect your laptop.

On a side note, has anyone had problems with USB printers sharing across the network? Can't seem to get mine to work properly, whereas the parellel printer will.
