La Luna across from Napoleans on Ecclesall road is a lovely restaurant, we went the other week. But my fave has to be Little Italy in Dronfield, friendly, nice little cosy place with fantastic food.

No Probs Johnboy, its nice to have people's recommendations. I would book just to make sure that you get a table, just to be safe. They have excellent wines too, they can be a bit pricey but the house wine is really nice and is cheaper too.

La Vida Loca on Hillsborough corner is nice and quiet in the week. Excellent food and friendly service. Does get very busy weekends though.

Casanova in Crookes is a lovely sophisticated (but not too posh) restaurant with lovely decor, excellent service, and damn good food. Just book at least a week in advance as it's VERY popular!

thats it.

They do this dish of rare fillet steak with olive oil, lemon, garlic, chilli, parmesan and rocket leaves which is just so perfect I could eat it every day.

Kito's in Woodseats (Now called 'Mona Lisa's').
Unlicensed with a beer-off just across the road.
My steak the other day was exceptional and compared favourably with much vaunted and more expensive Walnut Club, Hathasage.

Marinellos on Ecclesall road is very good, but it's not cheap.

just tried the Italian restaurant in Saint Paul's hotel near Winter gardens on sat, and food was gorgeous, had the seafood risotto and my friend the calzone, both were very tasty and the portions quite filling too. Was not too expensive either.
