family guy is awesome!

laugh out loud funny, and i was so gutted to hear that it had been cancelled.

understandable as they have been sued silly, cant think why, by so many people!

but so glad to hear the other month that a new series has been sommissoned for 2005!

I've been into Family Guy for years. It's a shame that no terrestrial channels show it. The wit and humour is much better than the Simpsons, which grew tired years ago.

Speaking of which, what happened to the Simpsons? No channel seems to be showing it now. As for Futurama, there was an episode on bank holiday monday and that was it.

sky one shows it all the time.

as for bbc 2 the olypmics played their part disrupting the schedule.

i agree tho, gone are the times of getting excited that the simpsons is on, ive seen them all so much i just cant watch it anymore.

shame, but it will always have a special place in my heart! ;-)

Channel 4 have now got the rights for The Simpsons (after Sky have shown it of course), and are due to show it in the old Friends slot of 9pm on Friday nights. Don't know which series they'll be showing though.

Futurama's been cancelled in the States sadly.

Family Guy is a lot better then The Simpsons and always will be ;)

they have made the film and its awsome realy funny indeed released very soon over here but its been on the net for abowt 5weeks now..

Family Guy is one of those series that gets cancelled after each season pretty much. When this happens the fans (American) go mad and it gets a reprieve. Kind of like sliders did but without the fans :D

Must say Family Guy is by far better than the Simpsons and even futurama, even though I love futurama!

I hear the movie is due for release around september time!

Family Guy doesn't get cancelled every season...it was cancelled once, after season 3. It wasn't recommissioned becasue the fans went mad...it was recomissioned because it became the best selling DVD when it was released, thus proving to the sponsors that it had na audience.

The movie rocks! I have not laughed so much in a long time. Also the new season is shaping up good, with the same skewed humour we have come to love (one genius segment had a spin on Aha's Take on Me video!)

Keep a look out also for American Dad, from the makers of Family Guy. Whilst not as good, it still holds some great moments to enjoy.

I really laughed at the bit where the dad (forget his name) says "My alphabet soup has a message in it - its says OOOOO", to which one one of the kids replies "Dad they're cheerios".

Family Guy wasn't going to go past season 2. I'll give it to you that DVD sales had something to do with why they (FOX) gave it a reprieve, but it was also to do with all the online petitions and the calls to boycott the network unless they brought it back!

Ive just discovered Family Guy, my housemates got the first two series on DVD. It is quality, the humor is more adult than simpsons and alot sicker - probably why I like it. My favourite character is Stewie - Pure Evil :suspect: I liked the one where he was describing his time as a sperm and it was like the battle for the death star in Star Wars, while he was trying to get to the egg :D
