Follow this link to an article about GM foods and then vote in the poll as to whether you want closer links to Europe or USA.

I don't think labelling regulations for GM foods are a good basis for a Europe/USA closer links poll, so on this issue I'll vote 'Don't Care'.

Mmmmm....A group of diverse peoples with their own opinions on most things and surrounded by the rest of the world - annoying, bureaucratic and up their own backends as they may be.
Or a self-righteous wannabe-world-dictatorship that only knows about itself and what it thinks is right (worse, is incredibly and unforgivably ignorant about the rest of the world) and would happily bomb us all if it thought that would help it get what it wants.
Let me think...:P

:lol:You're cruisin for a bruisin, DB:twisted:

I am NOT American. I renounce the country of my birth, I will not be tarred with that brush, I've never even heard of the place...

ROFL... that did actually make me chuckle out loud!

SO I gather you WERE born in the states. When did you move to the UK?
I happen to find the American public very friendly towards the English and love spending time over there. They aren't all the same as some of the pompous government sod's.

:lol:I know. I'm not being fair. Let's see, for the benefit of all fans of the US on the Forum...how does it go again...oh yeah.
America is full of lovely people. Many of them are very friendly. America has many varied and beautiful landscapes. Americans in general are not to be blamed for their diabolical government (even though they voted them in). I apologise for venting my personal spleen on that magnificent country. I love America.

Especially from a safe distance.:o

**disclaimer**
I grew up there, so I feel I've done my time, survived by the skin of my teeth, and am allowed to be nasty about the place if I want to. However I do have many lovely family members and friends there. They are all, of course, excepted from any rudeness:P

Lol what's with replying to old threads today Fishcake?

The first time was a mistake, then I discovered a gold mine of old posts and even more inane chit chat I can contribute to with mere words that have no real meaning. I am good at this.

Yeah I know ... I know. Crazy old yanks and their firearms:At least people who get shot here by sportsmen are shot by their peers and not by some inbred goofy Royal out for a bit of grouse shooting :hihi:
