Has anybody studied this?

I am doing it through work and have left it a little too late and have an exam this week and I just wondered if anybody has any handy tips or advice?

Thank you

I always think the best way is to actually do it hands on so to speak, just mess around with Word clicking every button, you'll soon figure out what it does :)

Worked for me when I did the Outlook and Access Specialist courses..

Thank you D2J.

I have my mock exam on Thursday so I'm going to be practising on Word until then!

Best way mate. I don't think I absorb software as well if I just read books and training material, the hands on approach is best for me :)

Out of interest where are you taking the exams?

The problem with that exam (and the others in the MS Office range) is they teach you how to use the software one specific way which is incredibly frustrating when you have your way (usually quicker) of doing something and are used to the keyboard shortcuts etc.

I do wish you the best of luck with the exam and aside from the things Ive said against it it is a good qualification to have and you should go for it. Just once you've got it, de-learn everything, cleanse your brain and learn how to use Word quickly and efficiently for yourself! Good luck:thumbsup:

I'm doing it at the place I work, Nabarro Nathanson solicitors. It is essential that we learn it in our 3 month probationary period and I didn't realise it'd be so complicated!

Thank you Hels, I've noticed they sometimes use a different way of working than what I'm used to!

Seriously that exam complicates Word beyond belief!! Just get through it and keep smiling knowing that at the end you can find your way of working that will be just as good if not better than some pre-defined standard, it's the thing of 1 size does most definately not fit all!

Just wish I'd made a start on it before now, 3 days is NOT a lot of time!
