I have a headlight out and a taillight out and I really don't have the time to go find the right place for the bulbs, get the haynes out etc..

Where's the best place to turn up and have a new bulb thrown in each without spending a billion pounds?

halfords have a flipchart with the car make and model and the correct bulb sets. they'll fit them for you for a fiver  (which means if they break one they replace it ;) )

go to Halfords but DONT get them to fit it - its a 2 second job and they charge £3 for taillight and £5 for a headlight to fit it, plus the price of the bulb!!!!!

its a right rip off!!!!!!!!!

Given the length of time it'd take me to get the haynes manual out, faff about fidling in a space-efficiently designed engine, and the risk of breaking the bloody bulb, coupled with the hourly rate for a freelance CAD operator... it isn't a rip off :suspect:

Most bulbs for modern cars are the same if not interchangable. Certainly the rear sets. Get a mixed bag full from any scrap yard for a couple of quid; any idiot can fit em and you're doing the planet a favour!!

Halfords would earn their fiver changing my headlight bulb, it involves taking out the battery first. :) :) :)

How many forumers does it take to change a light bulb?
Income is pretty 'disposable' if you pay someone to change your bulbs, as are brain cells apparently!!!!!!!!!!!
You could all do with a few years in the army - give you some self reliance and savvy!!!!!!!!!

Go to Poundland, you get a kit including a H4 headlight bulb (fits older cars with only one bulb), tail light, indicator and interior light. They may not all fit your car but boy is that not a bargain price!

If you have a headlight AND a tail light out, they might be on the same fuse that has blown. Each side is usually fused seperately............. ( Before you spend any money on bulbs )
