I always ask if they enjoy their jobs. That usually gets them talking for quite a while! I also ask when I am likely to hear from them, so I know for my own piece of mind.

Good luck!

By any chance are you applying to Ponds Forge? I work there at the moment as an occasional receptionist - if you'd like some help pm me.

Ask them about what training you will receive:thumbsup:

my advice is dont ask about money or holidays etc
id phrase the training question around "will i get opportunities for training or development"
Id also try and make a point to have in mind something good or that youre proud of that you havent mentioned in the interview to make comment on, ie can i just mention that I did x which got a commendation from x etc

like redhotjo said asking about training oppertunities is a good one, also what personal development and promotion do they offer. and the one i always forget, is when will they let you know about the job. the amount of weeks, phone calls and letters i've waited for because i didnt ask could all have been saved from that simple question!
goooooood luck!

If I am successful in getting the job, what would be my first priority?

At the end of any interview it is always a good thing to let the interviewer know that you enjoyed meeting with them and also enjoyed the interview. At this stage it is always worth asking him/her if they feel you are suitable for the role.

Ask them what they enjoy about working for the organisation.

Ask what a normal day in the job would include - this is a really handy question - most people forget that an interview is a two-way thing and is there to help you decide whether you want the job as well as whether they want you to do it!

Training and development questions are always good as it shows a willingness to learn.

Sooooo many people ask about pay and holidays at interviews and I am frankly astounded at the number of people who ask about sick pay! These are BIG no no's. Never ask about these at interview (or other benefits), as it looks like you're only bothered about getting money from them and then taking time off! Ask these kind of questions once you get to offer stage (preferably BEFORE you accept the job - Even then I wouldn't ask about sick pay!).
