Hi all,

My Mum and Dad are up in Sheffield to visit me for day today and we're going to go for a pub meal at lunch. I live in Meadowhead. Anyone know of any nice pubs not too far away heading towards the peaks somewhere where we can get some decent reasonably priced meals?

I'm not taking them to the Norton at the end of the road. Its absolutely terrible!

Thanks everyone.

Lee

A lot of people enjoy going to the Fox House which is just out of Sheffield in the Peaks.

Avoid Bakewell like the plague today, Bank Holiday Monday is not the day for visiting the Peak District, unless you enjoy traffic jams.

I agree Fox House does seem to have a good name for food.

The Old Hall at Hope is lovely, with massive portions, I remember going & the woman next to us had fish & chips & Ive never seen a fish the size of that!!
Its quite reasonably priced as well to say its out in the peaks which Ive found is usuallly expensive
