Hi, I have recently renovated a house in S8 and looking forward to moving in, but the outside needs painting. All the house, front & back, and the facias, the windows are pvc so no need to paint these.

A recommendation would be great, as I need to get an idea on costs.

you don't want them doing before spring do you?

Anybody who volounteers to paint outside in this weather isn't likely to be doing an honest job - it's too cold for the paint to dry properly, and the damp will cause pitting in the surface :gag:

my worry is that if I don't get it done before winter kicks in, we'll be undoing some of the hard work and rendering that's been done.

masonry painting?

Well if you're determined, have a look in 'jobs wanted' - there's a couple of people advertising empty slots between now and christmas. If you get no joy there, contact castle college and ask if they have any students just finishing a painting and decorating couse who they could recommend - and if switchboard are less than helpful ( :roll: ) go in in person to the new block under the tram bridge up east bank rd :thumbsup: you want the first floor ;)
