its been a really quiet, peaceful summer here in Firth Park, no screaming in street at night, no bikes circling like mad crows outside the shops, no rucus at throwing out time... best of all, I could leave my doors and windows open and not suffer ear-drum damage every 3 minutes with the buses roaring past.

Maybe I'm being an anti-social grump, I like meeting kids in the street, I think its a good place for them to hang out, and I know how important the buses are to people. Just its been so nice being able to relax, its the noise not the people. But people make the noise, be nice if they just remembered that we have to sit and listen to all their antics, well into the early hours. Its only a few minutes each, but there are so many some evenings and so late. And what's with the loud mobile conversations in the street? Why not have them indoors so we don't have to hear them?

Also think its time someone blocked access to the M1 via the estate, the stuff that cruises thru! plus it would be nice if the buses were not routed up our part of the street its too narrow, they can't pass each other without mounting the pavement right outside my window from 6 am to 12 pm. The traffic noise, especially HGV and buses is really oppressive.

And now they CLOSED SOMERFIELDS!! Maybe I should just move to the outer hebrides and sit in silence and sulk.... or should I start campaigning for traffic works, and organise a minibus to Netto's?

Scumerfields is a waste of time anyhow.....the sooner they sell out to a proper supermarket the better.

hey - I love tents! yes somerfield has been downgraded to a kwik save, its the end of the world and we will surely die. -

and yes I could move to somewhere which suits me better, but hey all the old folks would have no-one to grumble at, and anyway why should I move - let the noisy gits go home and take the noise with them!

I spose I wouldn't mind if they were a bit more co-operative and/or considerate but lots of people just put up with it but still find it irritating. I'd rather change it to something better - just has to be better for everyone not just me.

maybe it is the tent thing, I haven't been away this summer, probly need the joy of sleeping in a tiny hovel on rough ground on a cold night to really make me appreciate how lovely my home really is! (why do I do that every year?)
