I don't expect many replies to this, more of an information thread really.
The Playstation 2 has just come down in price to around £100 and I thought, why not upgrade to a silver one from my almost 2-yr old black one? The odd dvd was starting to freeze, although games were fine.
Took the PS2 to Game in fargate, they will give you £33 cash in hand or £50 as a trade in (you have to buy something else)
Playtime Multimedia are reluctant to take older PS2's, but offer in the region of £45 cash in hand.
Gamestation on The Moor are doing the best deal! £55 cash in hand, or £65 trade in! I traded mine in for £65 (they tested it and gave it the all clear) and bought a new silver PS2, with a free game and second (cheapy) controller for £99.99
