Dunno if this is the right category, but, I am looking for training courses in Sheffield on the following subjects - Adobe After Effects, Premier, Combustion, 3D Studio Max, Making Films/Media Studies, Compositing.

I know Red Tape Studios do various courses for music apps, but, I am looking for video editing and compositing apps courses.

If anyone knows of somewhere, please let me know.

Just buy the official training books from Adobe (Classroom in a book) they do one for each program and they are very helpful. Already made my way through Illustrator and After Effects books and which help with a video I made for Uni.

Think they sell for around £22 and you can get them from Amazon.

Thanks for the suggestion, already worked my way through Lynda.com and Creative Cow's DVD's, also been slowly working my way through Get Creative with After Effects.

I was just curious as to whether somewhere in Sheffield did media studies or video editing training along the lines of Red Tape Studios do for music editing applications.

Well not sure about any training available in Sheffield. I'm uni at the mo doing Graphic Design, thought I'd get to learn about using software but unfortunately my tutors barely know how to turn on there laptops so not much hope there. :hihi:

The Adobe books are a great help though, mostly however I teach myself which basically involves sitting at my computer for hours on end pressing buttons. I've just finished a project that required me to learn Premier Pro and thankfully its a very easy piece of software to use especially if you're already familiar with Photoshop. I'm trying to figure out After Effects for a new project I'm doing and so far am really enjoying it although it eats up my PC memory, which means I may have to buy more.

Well, I have got a fair bit of knowledge when it comes to using both Premier and After Effects, as well as 3D Studio Max and Cinema 4D, the main reason I was wanting to attend a course is to get some quali's under my belt, not so much as to learn how to use the app's.
