On Sunday the 26th of September I will be doing a charity abseil down the Bristol Hotel for the Cavendish centre. The Cavendish centre helps people live with cancer.

As far as i'm aware you just do it, not heard of any trainng available.

Well as long as the safety precautions are there then I'm up for it. Did a climbing-wall abseil when I was about 14 (14 years ago) and would be ok to do another.

The Bristol hotel has been a venue for charity abseils for a few years now, as rtapper states there is one coming up in October. I did one years ago for my best mate off there, all the safety precautions are in place and whilst you are on the roof you are given a prep talk before you go etc.

I am off work until thursday but if anyone wants details for a form to submit I will do my best to get them to you before the end of next week.

Success! I managed to raise £100 for Cavendish Cancer Care and abseiled down the Bristol Hotel this afternoon. Bit windy but I had Beastieboy next to me to keep me warm. Oo-er!

Wooo!! My rope burn has just started to heal up and it hurts like....

I now have £90 and rising, I will make it up to £100 if it doesn't break the mark.

I'm not too sure on the firewalk but might do the sleepover and ghost walk at Manor castle:o If I see a ghost there:help: :suspect:

I might be up for the ghost walk and sleepover. I'll sh*t myself completely and utterly and might need therapy afterwards but hey u only live once. :o
